Undergraduate Application Process
*A Note for Students & Their Families and Supporters*
We complete a thorough review of all applications, but due to the high volume of applications being received at this time, it may take 3-4 weeks for your admission decision to arrive. Help us by making sure your application is complete, which includes your completed UW e-App or Common App and your high school transcript.
~Your UW-Stout Admissions Team
UW-Stout is focused on student success and is excited to share our unique learning experience with prospective students. We have waived our application fee. To apply to UW-Stout as a brand new first-year college student, please submit one of the following applications:
UW System Application
Common App Application
Additional Application Requirements
- Your high school transcripts (unofficial may be submitted for review purposes, an official will be requested upon graduation) or GED certificate/HSED diploma.
- Optional: a copy of your ACT or SAT score
(UW-Stout has extended being test-optional to the 2024-2025 academic year. At this time, the last term that students can opt out of submitting an ACT/SAT score is spring 2025.)
Once we have received all of these documents, our Admissions staff will begin the review process. If you have questions along the way, call or email us any time.
