Campus Visits Response to COVID-19

UW-Stout, like other universities, is actively engaged in efforts to mitigate the impacts from COVID-19 (commonly known as coronavirus).

As such, out of an abundance of caution, campus tours are canceled through the end of the semester. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and your family, especially those who may have already made travel plans.

Our admissions team will be offering other virtual admissions presentations/video campus tours every weekday!

Our top priority is to support the health and well-being of our community as we continue to advance our comprehensive polytechnic mission. Our concern extends to you and your family members who may be put at risk in traveling to campus. There are no reported cases of coronavirus at UW-Stout; however, we believe this step is necessary to protect the community and slow the impact of this virus.

Group Visits (Cancelled for Spring)

We're happy to set up a special visit for groups of seven or more students. Group visits are designed for students in grades 9-12 from high schools, organizations, clubs and college access programs. A group visit typically lasts two to three hours and consists of the following:

  • an admissions overview
  • a student-guided walking tour
  • a student panel

If you are interested in dining on campus during your visit, please contact Kathleen Brown in University Dining Services to discuss options and payment.

We ask for a minimum of two weeks notice before your intended visit. Group visits are considered on a case-by-case basis. During busy times and depending on group size we may not be able to honor all requests.

We enjoy working with prospective college students and will do our best to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time on our campus. If you have any questions, please email groupvisits@uwstout.edu.
