Moritz receives September University Staff Appreciation Award

Facilities maintenance specialist has worked at university eight years

Lyle Moritz has received the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for September at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Moritz, of Menomonie, is a facilities maintenance specialist advanced in Facilities Management. Chancellor Katherine P. Frank presented Moritz with the award. He has been with UW-Stout for eight years.

Moritz’s nomination stated: “Lyle is dedicated to doing a great job of maintaining the campus. He is relied upon for many highly important tasks that require attention to detail and reliability. Lyle is a great asset to our customers. They can rest assured that when Lyle is on task it will be done correctly and with great professionalism. He is also a great mentor for the rest of the technicians in the department. He is always willing to drop what he is doing, if he can, and help and answer questions.”

Each winner receives a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout travel mug and a UW-Stout blanket.

Students, faculty and staff may nominate university staff members who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and the university community.

The award, in its 15th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
